Mission
The International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE) is the world’s largest professional organization for explosives engineers. The Colorado School of Mines chapter promotes explosives engineering education through meetings, guest presentations, field trips, and attending the annual ISEE conference.

Learn more about explosives and connect with others interested in explosives engineering. Mines ISEE is open to all majors! Members come from a variety of backgrounds including undergraduate and graduate students in mechanical engineering, material science, chemical engineering, mining engineering, and more.

Mission
The Mining Competition Team competes in the Intercollegiate Mining Games to honor traditional mining techniques and those that lost their lives in the 1972 Sunshine Mine Disaster. The team has attended every competition for the last 40 years, and hopes to continue in the future by encouraging participation, community involvement, and by hosting the games when appropriate.

Membership Benefits
The lumberjack games, but for mining! Membership benefits include practicing old time mining events, free food and drinks, great friends, and attendance at the annual competition. This year, members will get to travel to Tuscon, Arizona.

The mission of SME is to connect students in Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration to the industry by providing speakers, networking, and other opportunities.

Membership Benefits
Members have the opportunity to attend our general meetings - which provide educational lectures and guest speakers in industry related areas. We have various networking and social events for our members to engage with other students as well as industry professionals. Members are able to volunteer to help with events to educate our community about the industry. In addition, they have the opportunity to attend field trips (locally and out of town), high-level industry events, and conferences (both locally and out of town).

Underground Construction Association is a student organization at Colorado School of Mines,
an approved body by the Colorado School of Mines and Society of Mineral and Exploration ie
and the national organization of Mining and Underground Construction Association. This
organization aims to introduce industry practices and innovation to Underground Construction
and Tunnel Engineering students in particular and other interested students in general through
presentations by industry experts in Lunch & Learn sessions. This organization also serves as
a platform to provide networking opportunities to students with professionals through various
networking events. This organization also provides networking and social events for its
members.
