Mission
The Mining Competition Team competes in the Intercollegiate Mining Games to honor traditional mining techniques and those that lost their lives in the 1972 Sunshine Mine Disaster. The team has attended every competition for the last 40 years, and hopes to continue in the future by encouraging participation, community involvement, and by hosting the games when appropriate.

Membership Benefits
The lumberjack games, but for mining! Membership benefits include practicing old time mining events, free food and drinks, great friends, and attendance at the annual competition. This year, members will get to travel to Tuscon, Arizona.
