Mines and Golden for Community Well-Being: Collaborative Dialogue and Action Planning

Kickstart Dialogue Group, in collaboration with the civic engagement group Golden United, is hosting a dialogue and action planning event considering community support systems. We will be exploring ways that programs and support systems can be implemented or strengthened, especially through collaboration between Mines and the larger Golden community. The general topics we are considering are food and housing security and affordability; transit access and pedestrian safety; mental health; support for marginalized identities, including non-US citizens, people of color, and LGBTQ+ people; and accommodations and accessibility for people with disabilities.

This will be a two part meeting taking place on Saturday, September 26th. During part 1 from 10 am to ~12 pm, participants will exchange information and experiences, build connections, and identify priority areas for joint action. Part 2 will be a working lunch from ~12 to 2 pm where the participants will start to develop plans for collaborative action in these priority areas. Registration will begin at ~9:30, and attendance to either or both parts of the event is invited.
