ACC’s mission is to build the conservative environmental movement. We envision a cleaner, more prosperous world that fosters collaboration in the pursuit of environmental conservation. The American Conservation Coalition (ACC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing young people around environmental action through common-sense, pro-innovation, and limited-government principles. ACC was founded in 2017 by a group of young conservatives who wanted to fill the ideological gap in the environmental movement that was preventing effective, durable action.

We believe economic and environmental success go hand-in-hand and that everyone should feel empowered to take a seat at the table in discussions concerning conservation, clean energy, sportsmen’s rights, agriculture, climate, and more. ACC empowers young people who are tired of partisan inaction and equips them to build a better, more effective environmental movement for all Americans.

known as Collar Scholars for the purpose of raising and training future service dogs for
Canine Companions. Canine Companions is a non-profit organization that provides
assistance dogs to individuals with disabilities completely free of charge through the
support of volunteers, donors, and the community. As an organization, we aim to increase
awareness and respect for service dog teams both on campus and in the world beyond,
and we take great pride in knowing that our puppies will go on to serve an important role
in our community. All students are welcome at Mines Collar Scholars chapter. Although
Mines Collar Scholars is specifically affiliated with Canine Companions, all service dog
teams and service dogs in training are welcome at our meetings and events.

Hike for Help is a small, local Nonprofit that does public sanitation and community development in the Khumbu Valley (Everest Region) of Nepal in partnership with Colorado School of Mines. Since its inception, Hike for Help has overseen the construction of public restrooms, the restoration of local trails, and the development of a public workshop to build and sell local crafts. These projects, along with many others, have allowed for Economic and Social advancement of the Sherpa and other Local people. Hike for Help is a non-profit organization established in 2011, focused on implementing self-sustaining service projects in impoverished regions of Nepal. With this goal in mind, Hike for Help coordinates cultural treks to the Khumbu valley to provide support for local villages in their pursuit of development.

Hike for Help projects rely on community input and action from start to finish. Our motto, “Self Enabling Help” drives our project strategy. All projects ideas are generated by community members through small committees and local government officials.

Hike for help members is offered weekly meetings and semester events. Most semester events include catered Sherpa house, which is typically at a reduced cost or free. Additionally, we put on chai giveaways where we give out free chai to all members of campus. The biggest benefit of joining Hike for Help is the opportunity to travel to Nepal to volunteer and help work in the Khumbu Valley to help bring engineering designs and work to underserved villages along the Everest Base Camp Trail. The mission of the Hindu YUVA Colorado School of Mines organization is to bring together both Hindu and non-Hindu students to raise awareness about what Hinduism is. Infinity Club will function on three main principles:
To create a safe and inclusive space for neurodivergent people and allies.
To provide neurodivergent people with support and a community.
To advocate for neurodiversity, and help educate the public on what neurodiversity is and what it means to be neurodivergent.

The main purpose of the Maker Society will be to develop a strong “making community” at Colorado School of Mines. Making means anyone who wants to create something, whether they be students, faculty/staff, or members of the community. The Maker Society will enable these individuals to make anything that they wish to create in the easiest conceivable way for the person wishing to learn (while complying with Mines’ regulations, Maker Society Policies, and all applicable laws).

The greatest purpose of Mines Martial Arts is to support students in their
growth as martial artists. Thus, the MMA will provide regular opportuni-
ties for students to train and share knowledge with other martial artists of
differing styles and experiences. MMA also must work to provide instruction
and raise awareness for important aspects of martial arts such as self defense.
MMA will encourage and support members in finding qualified instruction
in martial arts. And because martial arts encompasses matters of the mind
and spirit as well as the body; MMA shall promote in its members and the
community at large the virtues cultivated by the practice of martial arts,
such as: courage, discipline, loyalty, speech, and honor.

The purpose of MMCC is to provide STEM exposure to high-school students in the Denver metro area through engaging, hands-on applied mathematics, statistics, and computing workshops. While the MMCC workshops are open to any high-school students and teachers interested in applied mathematics and scientific computing, MMCC especially hopes to reach members of the community who have experienced resistance or barriers to success in STEM. MMCC is highly motivated to create a more equitable STEM space heading into the future, and seeks to build lasting, impactful connections between the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Mines and students and teachers in the local community. Hopefully, this will lead to future collaborative endeavors and motivate students to seek out STEM opportunities, including at universities like Mines.

A member is in good standing if they have attended any club event within the current semester and haven’t had their membership revoked within that same semester. The Mines Mars Rover Team is a multidisciplinary student organization dedicated to designing, building, and testing a fully functional planetary rover to compete in the University Rover Challenge (URC), an international competition hosted by the Mars Society. Our mission is to create an advanced, semi-autonomous robotic system capable of performing tasks in simulated Martian environments—including terrain traversal, science analysis, equipment servicing, and autonomous navigation.

The CSM Slackline Club is an outdoor recreation community at Mines centered around the balance sport of Slacklining. We do all different kinds of slacklining on and off-campus. Our main goal is to frequently rig club slacklines on Kafadar to teach and practice the sport. We also have started involving other actives such as acro-yoga, unicycling, poi, frisbee and more into our gatherings. The Mining Competition Team competes in the Intercollegiate Mining Games to honor traditional mining techniques and those that lost their lives in the 1972 Sunshine Mine Disaster. RUF is a ministry of the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America) which holds to the Christian faith as revealed in the Word of God and expressed by the historic Christian creeds. RUF believes that Reformed theology, as set forth in the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Westminster Larger Catechism, and the Westminster Shorter Catechism, is the system of doctrine taught in Scripture, and is therefore to be learned, taught, and proclaimed.

RUF's fundamental purpose is to seek the glorification of God in all pursuits and endeavors in life and the enjoyment of Him forever. RUF seeks this goal in four respective areas of emphasis: Growth in Grace, Fellowship and Service, Evangelism and Mission, and Biblical World and Life View.

As a ministry of the PCA, RUF has a full-time, ordained campus minister who will oversee the spiritual health of the organization and its members. Additionally, RUF is strongly connected to the local PCA Church, Redeemer Golden, though members are encouraged to attend any healthy local Church.

The Running Club at Mines intends to provide a community that promotes healthy living through the activity of running. Through this club, runners can meet other runners during regularly scheduled runs who are like-minded in their goals of improving themselves through running.

RCM intends to provide opportunities for students at Mines to engage with the sport of distance running in various ways, be that trail running, endurance running, competitive running, or any other style that a member may wish to engage in. Every runner has their own individual goals relating to health, speed, distances, or otherwise; RCM strives to provide a community that supports each other in whatever endeavors the members may embark on.
