Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. You’ll build skills and confidence you need to reach out and provide initial support to those who are struggling. You’ll also learn how to help connect them to appropriate support.

After this training, you will be able to:
-Recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges.
-Recognize common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.
-Understand how to interact with a person in crisis.
-Know how to connect a person with help.
-Use self-care tools and techniques.

Who should attend MHFA? MHFA is for anyone who would like to learn and develop skills to assist individuals in their community who might be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health challenge and/or crisis. Attendees should be retrained every 3 years. Attendees must be present for the entire training, which consists of one full day or two half-days.

Monday, February 17th & Tuesday, February 18th from 1-5pm; Must be present both days.
