Mission
The club aims to provide opportunities for students to learn about and explore the field of Cybersecurity through student and industry lead tech talks, live workshops, and cybersecurity competitions. The club aims to provide a safe and supportive space to learn and practice important skills and lessons in cybersecurity to provide potential career-building skills and help educate students on the importance of cybersecurity.

OreSec is a competition club, as providing opportunities for competitions is part of the club’s purpose. Any competition OreSec does that has a limit on participants will require a try-out in order to participate. Some competitions may be open to everyone and some may only be allowed through try-outs. This depends on the number of members that will be allowed to participate per the competitions regulations.
