This interactive workshop introduces key economic and financial concepts that shape decision-making in the private sector and influence hiring, investment, and innovation. Using real-world examples, the session will explore how firms evaluate projects, allocate capital, manage risk, and respond to broader economic forces such as interest rates and business cycles.
NOTE: These workshops are jointly hosted and sponsored by the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) and the Graduate Student Government (GSG) as part of the Mines Graduate Advantage professional development series. Participation leads to graduate student eligibility for GSG's professional travel grant opportunities!
